individual clients virtually. Individual Therapy
Individual psychotherapy is a powerful method within the context of a safe, non-judgmental relationship to help people discover the meaning of their symptoms and design alternate ways of getting their needs met. A good therapist helps the client gain access to their own creative resources by helping to free them from automatic patterns. Then, within the therapeutic partnership, helps the person make and follow through with an action plan for change. Couples Therapy
A good couple’s therapist understands that arguments are actually an attempt to bring the couple back together. The couple hopes that once the argument is resolved, they will reconnect. However, arguments typically push them farther apart. A skilled therapist understands where these arguments and “disconnects” actually come from. The therapist engages the couple in a safe environment by teaching a non-defensive method of communication which reveals the true source of the conflict. It is frequently revealed that these issues actually pre-date their relationship. The therapist guides the couple to the root causes and teaches healing techniques which resolve core issues. Once the couple has reconnected, problem-solving becomes easy. Next, the therapist coaches the couple on how to enhance their relationship, intentionally and deliberately, instead of waiting for something positive to occur. The couple is provided with a wealth of tools for maintaining and growing the relationship they desire. |
