Relationships are so important, yet completely baffling at times. How can we feel so connected in the beginning, then so far apart? Why do we recycle the same old arguments all the time?  Why can’t two intelligent people talk out our differences and come to a compromise?  Why is it that similar issues seem to follow me when I change relationships?

Come to this dynamic, informative seminar that will change the way you view relationships. This seminar is a collaboration between you and your partner grounded in safety, respect, understanding and empathy.  Couples will learn skills that have been shown to transform relationship struggles into personal growth and further deepen the bond between them.

The seminar is based in part on the work of bestselling author and psychologist Dr. Harville Hendrix.  He created his philosophy and method of couples work called Imago. This seminar will be presented by Steve & Pamela Moore, a Certified Imago Therapist and Imago Relationship Educator. They are a real couple who love to share their expertise and are happy to use their own relationship journey (bumps and all).
 
Main purposes of the Seminar
  • Understand why we pick the partners we do
  • Learn a context for understanding and anticipating the challenges all couples go through
  • Learn the value of appreciations and positive daily interactions
  • Learn where conflict is really coming from and a style of communication for transforming it
  • Learn a new way to talk and listen
  • Learn your patterns of disconnection and how to repair them
  • Learn ways to continue to nurture and grow your relationship
  • Learn a toolbox of communication skills to deepen your connection
  • Learn how to turn conflict into growth

This seminar is educational, not psychotherapy.  You will observe and participate in exercises with your partner only.  Any group participation is strictly voluntary.

Seminar Presenters - Steve & Pamela Moore

Our Journey to Imago
After three months of marriage, Pamela dragged Steve to an Imago couples workshop.  The Moores had what they considered an outstanding relationship.  Steve, an experienced psychotherapist wondered what else he could really learn about relationships.  Pamela was new to marriage and wanted to get the tools for insuring a successful, dynamic marriage, one that would evolve and grow.

By the end of their workshop weekend, both Steve and Pamela had a much deeper appreciation and understanding of their relationship.  They were both so inspired by the philosophy and methods of Imago Relationship Therapy, they wanted to share it with others.  Steve began training as an Imago Relationship Therapist and Pamela trained along side him as an Imago Educator.  The Moores are extremely grateful to have been trained by one of the top faculty members of the Imago Relationships International organization, Maya Kollman in Princeton, New Jersey.  They actively use their learnings in their own marriage and are thrilled with the results.

Summer 2013, Steve & Pamela had the honor of assisting at a Getting the Love You Want workshop lead by Imago founders Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt at Omega Institute.
